I have something to say to Colin Kaepernick.
He used his first amendment right to freedom of speech and expression to sit down during the national anthem before Friday’s preseason game, so I am going to use my right to tell him how much of an idiot he is and why I am full of piss and vinegar about this.
Kaepernick had this to say to the media about why he decided not to stand during the playing of the national anthem:
“I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color. To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away murder.”
We market ‘Unfiltered Sports…’ and you are about to get it. Parental discretion advised.
Dear Colin,
Oppression? You wouldn’t know oppression if it smacked you in the face. Oppression is millions of people starving to death because their government won’t feed them. Oppression is millions being forced to work hard labor for pennies on the dollar. But you would’t know a thing about that now would you? You make too much money and were adopted by two white people when your bi-racial parents that brought you into this world couldn’t (or wouldn’t) raise you. That isn’t oppression. That is selfless service. A value that is witnessed every day around the country regardless of the color of your skin.
@NFLonESPNThe flag and nation you decided to disrespect is the same nation that has driven true oppression from the farthest corners of this earth. And the men and women that have fought to drive such oppression from the vast depths of the earth are the ones being disrespected. Missing arms and legs, these men and women find a way to stand for the national anthem and salute the flag.
But you’re right. It is definitely bigger than football. It is also bigger than you. And a hell of a lot bigger than The Black Lives Matter movement (some illegitimate movement without a leader that tends to bring more violence than answers). Maybe you should contribute to what All-Pro, Hall of Fame WR Jerry Rice calls All Lives Matter and set an example for all the people that look up to you as a role model, buy your jersey, and pay to see you ride the pine.
@JerryRiceSitting down for the national anthem and complaining to media that there are people getting away with murder and bodies in the streets is a great example for young children, you role model you. Don’t act like an entitled punk with a chip on your shoulder like you are some kind of victim. It seems like everyday, someone is the new victim, offended and concerned with what everyone else is doing. They should be more concerned with raising their children and giving back to the community.
While there are some impurities and imperfections in this country, people are knocking on the door everyday trying to get in. If you do not like your way of life here then get up and leave. The average person living below the poverty line has a TV and a car. Our government gives cellphones and food stamps. This nation owes you NOTHING!
Instead of sitting down and disrespecting it, try standing up and thanking whomever for all that you have and the opportunities that have been given to you. Stop blaming “white america” for all the “problems” in this country. You have had a black president for 8 year. The justice department is headed by a black woman. It is this divide that is fueling the BLM narrative.
Your actions on Friday before the preseason game is a summary of all that is wrong with the world today. You have no respect for authority. You feel like you are entitled to something. And the best way you have found to express yourself is to disrespect a nation and flag that I have served for 4 years now. Although I expect childish actions like this today, I can still feel my blood boiling. I don’t know what is more embarassing, that you can make such an ass of your self or that other people are going follow in your footsteps.
Either way it is despicable, yet I digress. It is definitely your time to sit down…on the bench because Blaine Gabbert is going to beat you out for the starting QB job. Talk about embarassing. Another thing that is embarassing…you got fined for calling an opposing player a racial slur aimed at African-Americans and you were caught wearing a T-shirt with Fidel Castro on it. If you aren’t a hypocrit, then call me Frederick Douglass. And unlike you, former SLAVE Frederick Douglass loved “The Star-spangled Banner”.
In flourishing hand,
The Nose Bleed
